Working on the electrical system of a vehicle is something you should let a technician do if you are not familiar with the system.
You need to have wiring diagrams and know exactly how the power is distributed before you connect or add anything to the system.
I would suggest having a certified technician install this for you so that don't have any electrical problems down the road.
